Allor si mosse, e io li tenni dietro

What happens when to literary classics clash together, translated into contemporary Zurich? Having the first canto of Dante’s Divine Comedy as a dramaturgic structure and filled with poetry from the Beat Generation, Allor si mosse, e io li tenni dietro is a literary copulation. Objects and characters symbolise different elements of the texts simultaneously, making this short film a conglomerate of references.

The amateuristic style of the film opposes the philosophical topics coming from Zen Buddhism. Whole cosmologies are projected into mundane settings, with the magical as a firm part of it. With Jazz dictating the dramaturgical rhythm, the film brings painting, poetry and video together.
